She walks naked in the streets of Lille…
Since its release in April 2014, the video continues to generate millions of views. The project has been carried out by two students, Sarah Baboro and David Lesage of Tournai’s Saint-Luc school, Belgium, as part of their art studies. Their teacher asked for a video that is likely to whip up a storm; Sarah and David probably got the best idea: after only one week of its publication, the video had already been watched 7 million times.
Wearing body painted jeans
This unusual student project has been implemented in the streets of Lille. However, both students have decided to stay subtle, using body-painting to “cover” the nakedness. They hired a professional makeup artist from Sallaumines who performed a complex work on Marie Cordon’s body, the 22 year old volunteer. She then walked the streets of Lille “wearing” painted jeans. She surprisingly remained completely unnoticed. The video has been viewed more than 17 million times on YouTube.
What happened to Marie?
Since her appearance on this video, Marie has become a star, as photographers and journalists from all over the world relayed the short sequence. But the girl seems to have a good head on her shoulders. She refuses to ride this wave of sudden celebrity and prefers to wait patiently. The young girl is currently preparing her BEP and improving at the same time her hairdressing skills in her mother’s salon in Templemars. We wish her good luck!
